Prevention Education

FRIENDS, Inc. offers age-appropriate curriculum developed for elementary, middle, high school and adult audiences. We service many of the schools in Washington County, reaching thousands of students each year. The curriculum is used at the Boys and Girls Club, Juvenile Detention Center, and the YMCA. Interactive activities and videos are utilized to educate and engage the targeted audiences.

Curriculum topics include:
  • Bullying
  • Expect Respect
  • Dating Violence
  • Protective Behaviors
  • Domestic Violence
  • Sexual Violence
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Internet and Social Media Safety
  • Bystander Intervention
  • Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships

We understand that some of these topics can be difficult to talk about at home. FRIENDS, Inc.’s Prevention Education Program aims to spread awareness, provide education and prevent Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence from happening. By talking about these topics with our youth, we hope to arm them with the tools necessary to be safe and responsible members of society.

FRIENDS, Inc. provides trauma informed care and victim centered services. If you are experiencing or have experienced Domestic Violence or Sexual Violence and need support, please give us a call.
